For more than three decades the Rivkin Center has been raising and granting critical funds for ovarian cancer research.
The Rivkin Center is driven by a singular, urgent mission: to end ovarian cancer within our lifetimes. Founded in 1994, we are committed to funding research, advancing the field, and sharing resources and information. We envision a world where all women lead longer, healthier lives through prevention, early detection, and successful treatment of ovarian cancer.
Over 30 years ago, Dr. Saul Rivkin and his daughters established the center in memory of Marsha Rivkin, their beloved wife and mother. What started as a family’s tribute has grown into a global force in ovarian cancer research.
Through strategic investments in early-stage ovarian cancer research, typical ROI on a Rivkin Center grant is 17X in extended funding by NIH and other funders. Our groundbreaking initiatives like the Biennial Ovarian Cancer Research Symposium, and our collaboration with the CARE Fund, are bringing critical new research attention to the field of ovarian cancer research.
The Rivkin Center is led by a dedicated Board with expertise spanning gynecologic-oncology, business, nonprofit management and fundraising. Recipients of our grants hail from prestigious institutions like the University of Washington, Harvard Medical School, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Together, we bring a wealth of passion, knowledge and a shared commitment to eradicating ovarian cancer.
We dedicate our work to all the individuals who inspire us. Inspire us to appreciate every moment, live our life to the fullest, connect, remember, and never give up hope.
