An estimated 10-15% of ovarian cancer and 5-10% of breast cancer are hereditary. Knowing your family health history can help give you some clues as to whether or not you are at high risk of carrying a genetic mutation.
Assess your risk for hereditary breast and ovarian cancer with the online tool from @RivkinCenter at rivkin.org/assess-your-risk.

The first step in understanding your personal risk for breast and ovarian cancer is knowing your family health history and genetics. •
Head on over to www.rivkin.org/assess-your-risk to see which questions to ask your family and take a short quiz that will help determine if you're at higher risk for these cancers.

Are you following the current recommendations for breast cancer screening? If you're not sure, here's a refresher if you're at *average* risk:
•
👋 Breast self-awareness. Know your boobies so you know when anything is off or different.
•
🏥 Clinical exams. Get a clinical breast exam annually.
•
🔎 Screening at 40. Talk to your doctor about screening, risks and benefits, and your personal preferences and values to determine a health plan that works for YOU.
