Mom battled stage 4 ovarian cancer for nearly 12 years. 12 years of strength, courage, and hope. 12 years of fighting so she would be there for 12 more… 12 more summer vacations, 12 more Christmases, 12 more anniversaries, 12 more years of birthdays, a wedding, the births of four grandchildren and millions of smiles, laughs, and hugs. Karen was an amazing role model, the greatest mom, most loving Grandma, wonderful wife, a daughter, a sister, and best friend. Her courage, strength, and love knew no limits. Her smile lit up the room. We’re Walking for Karen in our family’s 16th SummeRun in memory of Karen. She earned her wings on March 1, 2018. We love you, mom. xx, Kimberly
