Over the last 3 years I’ve discovered cancer is a double-edge sword. One side brutally wounds, tortures and destroys; it’s heartbreaking and insufferable. The opposite side opens hearts with an outpouring of love & compassion and invites new experiences & friendships that harden over time. For our little group, Kathy has been a motivator and leader to get us outside and to laugh together. She chugs ahead despite obstacle after obstacle; charging toward her goals. Today, she fights for her life. Today we walk for Kathy, our amazing friend, and pray we will laugh with her again.
