University of Arizona
Aastha is a Sophomore at the Honors College of U of A majoring in Bioinformatics as a pre-medical student. She is eager to pursue a career in women’s healthcare as an advocate for women’s empowerment and wellness. As a dedicated pre-health student, she also aims to maneuver her education in informatics to identify trends and improve healthcare problems. To facilitate her passion for understanding women’s health concerns, she works as an undergraduate intern at the U of A Agriculture Research Center to assist in the research of cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying fetal endothelial dysfunction in complicated pregnancies. On campus, Aastha is also an active member of Alpha Epsilon Delta, a pre-health honorary that empowers aspiring premedical students. Outside of academics, she is a part of the Bollywood Fusion dance team on campus where she performs at various events with her teammates. In addition, she loves journaling, painting, and watching shows in her free time. Aastha feels very excited to start another chapter in her life with Rivkin where she can both empower herself and others to be advocates in their health.
