Aliya is a senior at Washington State University studying Psychology and Women Studies with a minor in Biology. She is very passionate about women’s health and plans to pursue a PhD in psychology to work in women’s mental health. She is a member of Tri Delta and loves working with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to raise funds for childhood cancer research and treatment. During the school year she is very involved with the WSU Color Guard team and she volunteers at Pullman Regional Hospital. In the summer she works at her local swim club as a lifeguard and swim instructor. In her free time she enjoys swimming and wakeboarding on lake Washington, as well as painting and spending time with her friends and family. Aliya is excited and honored to be an ambassador for the Rivkin Center. She believes that educating women about their bodies is central to female empowerment and paramount to cancer prevention and early detection of women’s cancers. She looks forward to sharing Rivkin’s mission with the WSU community!
