Alyssa is a young breast cancer survivor, BRCA1 mutation carrier, health educator and public health practitioner passionate about advancing awareness and uptake of cancer screening and prevention efforts, especially for the most vulnerable and high-risk populations across the globe. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Washington where she advances implementation and dissemination of evidence-based cancer prevention and control efforts in communities and health systems. She was immediately drawn to the mission of the Rivkin Center and is honored to serve as an Instructor to increase awareness regarding early detection and prevention of breast and ovarian cancer.
