Anika, a Seattle native, was involved with the Rivkin Center at a young age, volunteering at the Friends and Family Auction and the SummeRun starting when she was in middle school. These events not only involved her with Rivkin but also inspired her to pursue a career in medicine. Anika graduated from Stanford University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology, having been a part of the D1 rowing team for four years. Now she lives in the vibrant city of San Francisco working at UCSF on an investigational breast cancer trial called ISPY2, where she works with cancer patients on a daily basis. As she applies for medical school in 2021, she will continue to educate young people about cancer screening and prevention. Say hi when you see her racing at the SummeRun!
