Maria is a Rivkin Education Instructor from the Yakima County in Washington State. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and Global Health from the University of Washington. Seeing the need for culturally and linguistically appropriate health education in her community, led Maria to involve herself with Rikvin. Maria is passionate about helping empower women, especially Women of Color, to make their voices heard when it comes to advocating for their health. In her free time Maria likes to spend time with her family, tend to her indoor plant collection, and visit her town’s local flea market.
